- Start small. You can start with 0.001 ETH or any amount. Starting with 0.01 ETH is suggested if possible to maximize the ETH total return relative to the transaction cost.
- Start with a decentralized provider who allows you to hold your staked ETH in your own wallet (aka self-custody).
- Try your first test sooner than later. Test, review, and then test again or execute a long term strategy, (aka set-and-forget).

What are the different types of Staking Ethereum (ETH)?
There are four main categories with pros and cons to each. We advise 3/4 and always suggest to avoid staking with centralized providers.
- Liquid (Pooled) Staking
- Pool Node Operator
- Hosted Solo Staking
- Solo Staking (At-Home Staking)
Centralized Exchange Staking
Liquid (Pooled) Staking
- Liquid Staking is pooled staking of Ethereum. Pooled staking is combining your ETH with other investors’ ETH inside together to reach the required validator minimum of 32 ETH.
- Liquid Staking is locking up tokens in exchange for a tokenized certificate, aka liquid token, that can be used in DeFi and held in your custody.
